Our first year at Spring Hills has been a remarkable journey, made possible by the dedication, trust, and support of our students, families, and staff. Together, we have built a nurturing and inspiring community where learning, creativity, and confidence flourish. To commemorate this milestone, we created a special pin, which was presented to every member of our school community as a symbol of unity and shared achievement. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Looking ahead, we promise to continue strengthening our school community, enhancing the learning environment, and creating even more meaningful experiences for our students. On the last day of term 2, our teachers delighted students with a special Panto performance. Panto is a short for British Pantomime, It is a festive, family-oriented musical comedy theatre show traditionally performed at Christmas. It is often based on classic fairy tales, and is filled with songs, slapstick humour, and lively audience participation. Taking to the stage in character, our teachers played their roles brilliantly, entertaining and engaging the students who made up an enthusiastic audience. It was a heart-warming and memorable experience to see teachers step out of the classroom and perform for their students, creating a joyful and different kind of connection. The performance added a festive and cheerful touch to our last day of term, leaving everyone smiling as we headed into the holidays.

Under the guidance of Mr Tom Mitchell (Head of Arts), students are showcasing their impressive Design & Technology skills through hands-on, creative projects. A wonderful showcase of creativity, craftsmanship, and design thinking across year groups. ๐Desk Tidy -Year 8 Year 8 have done a study on Cities and their timeline from Pyramids through to Rome and Modern cities of today. They produced their own desk tidy using different Cityscapes as a theme for their Desk Tidy. ๐Pencil Box - Year 7 Year 7 have just finished their first ever workshop project using saws, the sanding machine, drills and Varnish to complete a Pencil Box. The lids were finished with their names on. Next time they can create their own design to be laser cut. ๐Architectural Model - Year 9 Year 9 have been working in pairs and designed a shipping container house using foam, acrylic, and even some plywoods and MDF to make a scaled model of their chosen house, which they made for either a family, a football player or a refugee as their client.

On 10 December, our Invictus Spring Hills community came together for the Food Drive House Competition and successfully collected a total of 2,984 kg of Food Aid, breaking last yearโs record by an incredible 200%. This meaningful effort will support 30 B40 families in the Masai area, 19 Invictus employees in the B40 category, and Exodus Womenโs Shelter in Segamat. It was truly a collective Invictus effort. With the support of our Headmaster and Heads of School, alongside teachers, students, parents, and corporate staff, everyone played an important role in bringing this initiative to life. Special recognition goes to Mr Arnaud Germain and his student leaders for leading this impactful initiative. Together, we made a real difference.
