Our Year 11 - Year 13 students had an enriching and inspiring university trip on 11 December 2025, visiting both the University of Reading Malaysia and the University of Southampton Malaysia. At the University of Reading, students participated in two engaging workshops: a Quantity Surveying session titled 'Master Modelling with Revit', where they designed and built their own model houses, complete with windows, doors, and landscaping, and a Psychology workshop that introduced them to personality assessments, providing insight into studying psychology at university. The hands-on activities sparked creativity, curiosity, and teamwork. After the workshops, students enjoyed a guided campus tour to explore the universityโs facilities and learning environment. The experience continued at the University of Southampton Malaysia, where students chose between two specialised workshops: Business Studies or Electrical Engineering. In the Business Studies workshop, led by Dr. Arsalan, students took on the role of young entrepreneurs by developing their own start-up ideas, identifying target markets, analysing strengths and weaknesses, and presenting their business concepts. Meanwhile, in the Electrical Engineering workshop, students learned about the concept of persistence of vision and had the opportunity to assemble a small electronic device through soldering, creating an LED light effectโa first-time experience for many that kept them excited and fully engaged. A campus tour followed, giving students a glimpse into the academic environment and facilities. No.3 Persiaran Selatan, Horizon Hills, 79100 Iskandar Puteri, Johor

Science Innovatorsโ Committee: Nurturing Young Scientists Through Hands-On Exploration The Science Innovatorsโ Committee is a new, student-led club designed to spark curiosity and encourage scientific inquiry among upper-secondary students. With ten enthusiastic members from Year 10 to Year 13, the committee provides a platform for exploring advanced scientific concepts through practical and engaging experiments. The committee kick-started its activities with the popular Elephant Toothpaste experiment, first showcased during Invictus Science Day. This fun investigation allowed students to apply their understanding of catalysts and chemical reactions while building teamwork and communication skills. This month, members moved on to a more complex, biology-focused task: frog dissection. Each student carried out an individual dissection, identifying major organs and body systemsโincluding the heart, lungs, digestive tract, gallbladder, and kidneysโand gaining a clearer understanding of their functions. The activity was conducted safely and ethically, with students briefed on proper handling and respectful use of specimens. Through each hands-on activity, the Science Innovatorsโ Committee continues to strengthen scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and collaboration. The committee hopes to inspire even more students to explore and appreciate the fascinating world of science. No.3 Persiaran Selatan, Horizon Hills, 79100 Iskandar Puteri, Johor

As students wrapped up their Term 2 assessments, the hallways filled with sighs of relief, bright smiles, and cheerful chatter. With the hard work behind them, excitement quickly shifted toward the upcoming Christmas festivities.
