Our Year 9 Modern Foreign Language (MFL) students took their learning beyond the classroom this morning with an exciting Scavenger Hunt activity around the school. As part of their topic on โDirectionsโ, students put their language skills to the test by locating different places on campus using the vocabulary theyโve learned in class. They were given 15 tasks to complete, each guiding them to a new destination within the school grounds. Our Lunar and Chinese New Year Assembly was a vibrant and joyful celebration, bringing the whole school community together to welcome the Year of the Horse. Students arrived dressed in beautiful red traditional costumes, filling the multipurpose hall with colour and festive spirit. The atmosphere was lively and celebratory as students from different year groups took to the stage to perform cheerful songs, marking the start of a prosperous new year. Their enthusiasm and confidence set a wonderful tone for the event. The programme also featured elegant cultural dance routines that showcased grace and tradition, followed by an exciting performance from a local dance company whose impressive acrobatic skills truly wowed the audience. The highlight of the assembly, however, was the much-anticipated lion dance. To the powerful rhythm of beating drums, two magnificent lions made their way through the hall, captivating everyone with their energetic movements. Our staff interhouse dodgeball game was filled with energy, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter as staff members worked together across teams, showcasing not only their competitive spirit but also their sportsmanship and unity. The top two teams received food hampers filled with treats to share. We celebrate these winning moments for Ng Xi Rui (Year 5 Care) and Ng Xi En (Year 7 Care), who represented Johor state and made waves at the 61st NSC/MILO/MAS Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships 2026. They competed against top qualifying swimmers across Malaysia, as well as athletes from Hong Kong and other Southeast Asian countries at the National Aquatic Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from 5โ8 February 2026.
