Year 3 Care mathematicians explored 3D shapes by moulding them with clay. The students had an amazing time creating cubes, spheres, cones, cylinders and pyramids with their hands. This hands-on activity helped them understand faces, edges and vertices in a super fun way! Year 3 Care had a wonderful time exploring angles through a fun paper craft activity. Students created their own angle finders by folding paper and used them to spot right, acute, and obtuse angles around the classroom. They compared angles, shared discoveries, and turned their work into colourful angle art. It was a joyful lesson filled with creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Our Early Years children had a fantastic Children’s Day celebration! They enjoyed a fun morning assembly, photo booth moments, special treats, and thoughtful gifts across all three classes. A heartfelt thank you to our Parents Support Group (PSG) and all our wonderful parents for making this day extra special for our little ones. World Children’s and Youth Day is a meaningful reminder of the vital role young people play in shaping the future, recognising their contributions and raising awareness of issues that affect them, from education and mental health to climate change. Our school celebrated this special day with great enthusiasm as students arrived in their favourite clothes and costumes, filling the campus with colour and energy. The morning assembly featured inspiring videos from UNICEF, followed by a vibrant programme of student performances, quizzes, riddles, and a lively one-minute staff dance challenge. Teachers delighted the audience with a performance of “The Climb” and a humorous skit, and the whole school came together for an upbeat mass song of “Wavin’ Flag”. As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting a safe and supportive school environment, we observed ‘Wear Blue’ Day to raise awareness about anti-bullying. All students were encouraged to wear a blue shirt as a symbol of unity against bullying and to reinforce the values of kindness and respect. In conjunction with this initiative, the school hosted an anti-bullying talk titled “Anti-Bullying Campaign: Together We Can Make the Difference” during our Assembly for Years 6 to 13, delivered by Dr. Mohammad Riduan Ishak, Executive Director of Tarkiz Pte. Ltd. Dr. Riduan is a substance-abuse specialist, para-counsellor, and certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner who frequently speaks on life transformation, overcoming adversity, and strengthening community relationships. He is also the recipient of the Beyond Second Chances (Overcomers) Award 2023 by Singapore’s Yellow Ribbon Project, recognising his meaningful contributions to rehabilitation efforts. On 9th to 14th November, we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week theme is “Power for Good”, reminding us that everyone plays a part in ensuring our school remains a safe, caring community. To show our united stand, students from FS1 to Year 13 created pledge hands, each with a personal promise against bullying. Primary students have also been adding leaves to our Kindness Tree, celebrating everyday acts of care—from inviting a friend to play to helping a classmate. Our prefects supported the activities throughout the week and created worry boxes for every primary classroom, giving students a safe way to express their concerns. We ended the week with a powerful Year 5 assembly featuring art, poetry, drama, and music—all speaking up against bullying. Respect for all.
