Our Secondary programme covers Key Stages 3 (Year 7-9) and 4 (Year 10-11), where we provide a natural progression for students from primary education and prepare them for formal qualifications.
Key Stage 3 (Year 7-9)
Our Lower Secondary programme is part of the Cambridge Pathway. The pathway leads seamlessly from lower secondary to upper secondary and pre-university years. Each stage builds on the student’s development from the previous one or from other educational systems. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, helping them to thrive throughout their schooling, work and life.
With an extensive offering of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Modern Foreign Language, Art, Drama, Music, Computing and Physical Education, our programme provides excellent foundations for the next stage of education. On top of that, we also offer an exclusive Fablab programme to our Year 7 and 8 students whereby they work on mini projects to develop their creativity and expression. Not forgetting the importance of values and sustainability, our curriculum includes Personal, Social, Health and Economics (PSHE) education that also covers the core values of our school. Students are also encouraged to embark on green projects and improve our environment.
We provide valuable and insightful feedback on the students’ performance through formative and summative assessments at the end of each term. At the end of Year 9, students will be taking the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint to see how they are performing in comparison to the rest of their class and against an international benchmark.
Key Stage 4 (Year 10-11)
Our Upper Secondary programme is designed to equip our students in managing the more rigorous International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE) academic study with confidence and success. Our school offers a wide range of subjects that students can choose from based on their strengths, interests and career considerations.
Subjects that we currently offer are:
*This list is not exhaustive and IHH may add/remove subjects based on the demand of each cohort.
The school provides career guidance and counselling to help students plan and achieve their future career aspirations. We also conduct workshops and visits to universities as part of the programme. Holistically, we aim to nurture students to be confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.
