An Exciting Educational Journey
The Cambridge Primary programme begins an engaging and structured learning journey for students, outlining what they should know and be able to do at each stage of their primary education. It is designed to build the knowledge and skills students need to succeed in primary school and transition smoothly to Cambridge Lower Secondary, the next stage of their academic development.
Five key elements underpin a Cambridge education:
The Cambridge Primary programme offers a well-rounded curriculum that extends beyond English, Mathematics, and Science to include a broad range of subjects. This ensures students develop a wide set of skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
The curriculum is flexible and can be adapted to suit the specific context, culture, and ethos of each school. We believe that education is most effective when the curriculum, teaching and learning, and assessment are closely aligned.
Each subject in the Cambridge Primary programme is supported by a rich content of high-quality teaching and learning resources. These resources are carefully aligned with the learning objectives outlined in the Cambridge Curriculum Frameworks, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience across all subjects.
Student performance is continuously monitored through a combination of formative and summative assessments conducted at the end of each term. These assessments provide valuable insights into each student’s progress and areas for development.
At the end of the programme, Year 6 students take the Cambridge Checkpoint assessments, which provide an international benchmark of learner performance and help prepare students for the next stage of their education.
